The visual identity for the second year of the project continues the identity from last year.
The combination of jazz and war requires a careful choice of visual language, as war is a sensitive topic. Flowers provide a starting point for this: they represent life, growth and renewal and have strong symbolic meaning in many cultures. In Ukrainian culture, they are especially rich in symbolism — sunflowers, poppies, daisies, cornflowers and many others.
For the jazz aspect, dynamic graphics are used through colour, animation and typography.
If the project continues in the coming years, this principle can be continued: each year, a new flower, floral motif or colour combination inspired by it can shape the visual identity.
Several directions for the poster are proposed.
POSTER #1
Colors I’m showing two colour palettes here. In my opinion, the green and orange palette works better here because it feels more neutral, while the green and yellow palette might have more direct associations.

POSTER #2
This is my preferred poster option. It still refers to last year’s poster design with the floral theme, but it is more abstract and has more rhythm connected to the jazz direction. The colour combination might be changed, from a more neutral palette to a more vivid one.

POSTER #3
Poster 3 is based on version 2, but uses the Ukrainian flag colours. Personally, I don’t think we need to use these colours, as they create a very direct association. But of course, I’d be happy to hear your thoughts.
